  • I received this book promptly, it is the last book I needed to complete the set of 6 Earth's Children books about life in the prehistoric Ice Age. I had read it some time ago and am now enjoying a re-read. Jean Auel writes in great detail about this period, she did lots of research. Plains of Passage describes the journey of Ayla and Jondalar across Europe to his home in what is now southern France, and the adventures they had along the way. I can recommend this book (and the others in the set) to readers who enjoy prehistoric drama.
